the famous german designer was essential in the functionalist school of thought, and the idea that less isn’t necessarily more, but better.  his approach aims to make objects simple for people, whereas their function will clearly dictate the way it is intended to be used.

his ten ideas about good design are certainly something to consider, as vague as they might be…

good design:

is innovative

make a product useful

is aesthetic

helps us to understand a product

is unobtrusive

is honest

is long-lasting

is consequent to the last detail

is concerned with the environment

is as little design as possible
