what: the “iphorest” application for the iphone

why: growing a tree on an iphone? sure?

1. dig a hole my making the motion using your iphone. tap the iphone to plant a seed

2. shake your phone to make it rain

3. wait for the sun to return+grow your tree

4. share your trees with others? name it? chop it down to make chopsticks out of it?

by partnering with the conservation fund, the iphorest app has actually been able to take it one step further: for each tree planted on iphorest, the conservation fund will plant one native tree along the gulf coast of the US, in an attempt to rehabilitate the devastated wetland region along the coast, which previously acted as a buffer zone for hurricanes and tropical storms.
