time lapses.

January 29

i think i can trace my obsession with time lapses back to my sophomore year in high school when my friend introduced me to the movie baraka:

i HIGHLY suggest you full screen it to get the maximum affect.

this is the perfect cinematic depiction of the lives of humans and chickens in our modern world. what makes us so different than them? i love the shots of the japanese metro and the funnel. also one of the reasons i was a vegetarian.

extending beyond the theatrical releases involving time lapses, the internet has obviously provided me with an endless wasteland of good (some very bad) lapses of almost anything you can imagine. (scope out my previous post with one of my lapses in it). with the advent of flikr videos, there are incredible amounts of highly talented photographers out there with great lapses they have made.

this one is my favorite. enjoy.
